Andrew’s stories are full of mad old ladies, posh gents, cor-blimey Southerners and ee-by-gum Northern folk. He breathes life into the ordinary and mundane through performances that are highly-charged, comic and poignant. His characters always wear their existential angst on their sleeves: Life might be full of woe - life might be complete whatsit - but the human spirit will always triumph... (well, mostly…)
Andrew is a talented writer of poems and short stories which he performs in open mics and in other guest appearances across Yorkshire from Hull to Harrogate. He has headlined at Poems, Prose and Pints in Harrogate and performed at Take Ten at the Cumberland Arms in Newcastle. He can also be heard on Tempo FM (Wetherby’s community radio station) where he’s recorded two dozen stories since 2009.
Various tracks can be heard on his Soundcloud page www.soundcloud.com/andrew1913brown and he also has a profile page on the Write Out Loud site www.writeoutloud.net/profiles/andrewbrown
